The Secretary-General is in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he will chair the biannual session of the UN System Chief Executives Board for Coordination, also known as the CEB, which brings together the heads of the UN system organizations. During their biannual session, the Chief Executives Board Members will reflect on current world affairs as they affect and are related to the UN system. They will also engage in deliberations on 'Adapting to New Realities: Leveraging the UN80 Initiative' and 'Upholding Respect for International Law'. While in Denmark, the Secretary-General is scheduled to meet the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen. He will also engage with UN staff based in Copenhagen, as well as with Danish media..

Caption Description António Guterres, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, along with representatives of partner agencies, launches the Regional Flash Appeal for the Libyan Crisis at a press conference in Geneva, Switzerland. According to UN Emergency Relief Coordinator Valerie Amos the US$ 160 million appeal is “based on a planning scenario projecting up to 400,000 people leaving Libya -- including the 200,000 who have left to date -- and another 600,000 people inside Libya expected to need humanitarian aid to varying degrees”.
