Headline Cherry Blossoms in the United Nations Park
Caption Description Ambassador Isao Abe, Permanent Representative of Japan to the United Nations, and Mrs. Abe today took part in the annual Spring event of officially opening the United Nations park to the public. The public is invited to visit the United Nations and enjoy a spectacular display of three hundred double-flowering Japanese cherry trees in the north park. The cherry trees, which are of the Prunus Serrulate Kwanzan variety, are the gift of Mrs. Albert D. Lasker and family, in memory of Mr. Albert D. Lasker.
