Mr. and Mrs. Vladimir Livins, aged 75 and 65, photographed upon their arrival at Aalborg, Denmark, ending a flight to refuge which began half-way around the world in Shanghai. They are two of a group of fifty-one refugees of European origin stranded in China who were moved to homes and sanatoria in Belgium, Denmark and Sweden
through the combined efforts of the Office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, the Intergovernmental Committee for European Migration, voluntary agencies and the host governments.
