Caption Description Mr. Alexander Ranezay is the millionth displaced person to be resettled by the International Refugee Organization. He arrived in New York with his family on 13 November. Upon disembarking, the family made its first stop at St. Patrick's Cathedral. Here, they are greeted at the arched doorway by the Most Rev. Joseph Flannelly (shaking hands with Mr. Ranezay), Auxiliary Bishop of New York. Their migration to the United States was sponsored by the National Catholic Welfare Conference.
