Ceylon today signed the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards.
Seen here signing the Convention on behalf of his country is Mr. N.T.D. Kanakaratne, member of Ceylon’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations. Looking on is Mr. Constantin A. Stavropoulos, United Nations Legal Counsel in whose office the signing took place. The Convention will come into force 90 days after three countries have ratified or acceded to it. No country has yet ratified or acceded to it. No country has yet done so.
