Aspects of Community Living are Depicted at Ecuadorian Fair
Caption Description
Otavalo Feria is market place and meeting place for Andean Indian groups. A pattern of existence established generations ago still remains the custom for the population in the areas surrounding the town of Otavalo, Ecuador. On Saturday of each week, Indians from neighboring towns converge on Otavalo; they come to sell their wares, to replenish their larders and to meet socially with friends.
In the early hours of dawn, the Indians begin to arrive by bus and on foot, carrying and driving the various items which will go on sale in the market places in Otavalo. [No exact date]
