Civil Aviation Training in the UAR
Caption Description
To meet the need of growing air traffic to and from the UAR, many special technicians are needed in various fields. In 1953 a Civil Aviation Centre was set up, with the help of experts from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), who also assist in the training programme. Courses, which have gradually been expanded, include air traffic services, radio operation and maintenance, teletype operation and maintenance, aircraft mechanics, etc.
