A bronze statue by a young Dutch artist, Arthur Spronken, was presented to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), at a ceremony held at the WMO Headquarters in Geneva. The statue symbolizes the “Taurus of the Sun” and stands near the pool on the north-east side of the headquarters.
The statue is seen here (in the foreground), during the presentation ceremony.
