Greece’s Economic Development: “Titan” Cement Company
Caption Description
The Titan Cement Company employs some 600 persons. The factory, at Eleusis, Greece, is equipped with six kilns and the necessary auxiliary machinery. The yearly production reaches about 400,000 tons, some of which are exported, mostly to countries in the Middle East. Plans have been made to increase the production by 33 per cent.
This picture, taken at Eleusis, shows the conveyor-belt used to move the bags of cement from the factory to the boats and barges in the harbour.
