The Sivitanidios Technical School
Caption Description
The Sivitanidios Technical School, in Athens, operates under the supervision of the Greek Ministry of Industry. It gives courses in metallurgy, electro-techniques, carpentry, building and automobile mechanics to more than 760 students (250 of them full boarders) who graduate after three years of studies. Although the school is supported in part by the Government, the students pay 100 Drachmae ($3.33) monthly for tuition fees. Secondary night courses are also given for mechanics and electricians.
This picture shows students at work in the school’s machine shop.
