Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict Visits South Sudan
Caption Description
Virginia Gamba, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, made a four-day visit to South Sudan. While there she met with government officials, civil society representatives, religious leaders and the United Nations team in the country. During her visit she highlighted that grave violations against children in the country remain at unacceptably high levels and called on all parties to take immediate concrete actions to prevent them from reoccurring.
