Caption Description The General Assembly this afternoon ended its twenty-second session, after agreeing without objection to transfer the only substantive item left on its agenda -- the situation in the Middle East -- to the agenda of its twenty-third session, which convenes tomorrow. The twenty-second session of the General Assembly began on 19 September 1967 and the first part ended on 19 December 1967. On 24 April 1968, the session was resumed and on 12 June 1968 it was adjourned. The Assembly has not re-convened since that date.
