General Assembly Concludes Sixth Special Session

The General Assembly this afternoon ended its sixth special session, devoted to the problems of raw materials and development, after hearing the remaining statements on two documents adopted yesterday by the Assembly: the Declaration on the establishment of a new international economic order, and the Programme of Action. The President of the Assembly, Leopoldo Benites (Ecuador) made a statement. The final speakers on the two documents adopted yesterday were the representatives of Zaire, Cyprus, the United Kingdom and Cuba. In all, 39 delegations stated their positions on the documents. The representatives of the Soviet Union and China made statement under the right of reply.
