Caption Description A team composed of Sweden's top gymnasts wound up a tour of the United States with an outdoor performance at United Nations Headquarters today. The performance, which lasted about an hour, took place in front of the doors at the visitors' entrance to the General Assembly building. The 18 members of the team, known as the KFUM Elite Group, were selected from hundreds of KFUM Gymnasts in Stockholm. KFUM (the Swedish equivalent of the YMCA), has a 75-year tradition of turning out Sweden's best gymnasts. The gymnasts were accompanied by a mini-team of colourfully costumed folk dancers. The team toured the Great New York area and Washington, D.C. on a goodwill tour to promote interest in health and physical fitness. The tour has been organized by the Swedish Embassy in Washington, the Swedish Consulate General in New York, and Tretorn AB, a Swedish sporting goods firm.
