Maslakh (Internally Displaced Persons or IDPs) Camp is named after a once thriving business (Maslakh translates as slaughterhouse). Situated near the western Afghan city of Herat, it is home to more than 350,000 displaced Afghans according to the official count from the time of Taliban rule.

British Commando units attached to the United Nations forces in Korea have made several daring raids deep into enemy territory. During one such raid, Commandos of the 41st Royal British Marines swarm ashore from amtracks 8 miles south of Songjin, North Korea, where they destroyed a stretch of railroad track breaking an important enemy supply line.

Headline Hungarian Refugees in Yugoslavia Repatriated to Hungary 
Caption Description In October 1956 during the early stages of the Hungarian exodus into Yugoslavia when twenty-thousand Hungarians asked for asylum in the country, several hundred unaccompanied children were given care by the Yugoslav authorities and the Yugoslav Red Cross in former hotels and holiday resorts.  Thanks to the tracing services of the Yugoslav Red Cross, many of the unaccompanied children were reunited with their parents, some of whom had crossed into Austria, others into Yugoslavia.  
A Hungarian mother who came to the border to welcome her own child being returned to Hungary under the United Nations scheme for family reunion.
