Caption Description Before his appointment to the United Nations, he was the ambassador of Mauritania to the Ivory Coast and to Guinea. Ambassador Miske was Director of the Political Section in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mauritania and was Director General of Information and Radio. He was a member of the National Political Bureau and Administrative Secretary of the Mauritanian People's Party, Secretary-General of the Youth Association of Mauritania (1955), Director and Editor of the newspaper ""Mauritanian Youth"" (1957), Secretary-General of the ""Nahda Al Watanya Party"" (1958) and Permanent Secretary of the Round-Table for Unity of Mauritanian Political Parties (1961). He holds the Order of National Merit ""Istahqaq"" of Mauritania, the Order of National Merit of Guinea and the Order of National Merit of the Ivory Coast. Ambassador Miske was born in 1931. He studied in Mauritania, Senegal and France.
