Headline Pakistan Trains Technicians in Jute Industry
Caption Description The Government of Pakistan is reorganizing its Textile Institute to train supervisory technical personnel to staff industries with the help of experts from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Special Fund. An ILO expert in jute productivity advises the jute technology section of the Textile Institute and helps to train instructors for the institute and for industry.

Workers pour through the gate of the Adamjee Jute Mills which employs some 23,000 workers. About 50% of the workers live in the compound of the Mills. There are three mills of 1000 looms each.
