First Norwegian Mobile Hospital Leaves for Korea
Caption Description
Early in June, a Norwegian mobile surgical hospital will be in operation in Korea, some six to ten miles behind the front line. The hospital will have a total personnel of approximately 80 people: 12 doctors, 20 nurses, porters, drivers, etc. Two Planes have been chartered for the transport of the doctors and staff direct from Oslo to Tokyo.
This picture, taken in front of the Red Cross Headquarters in Oslo, shows (left to right) Colonel Herman Ramstad, doctor and Chief of the hospital; Captain Ronnaug, Chief Nurse; and Colonel Arne Hvoslev, Chief Surgeon.
