The Korean People - Agriculture
Caption Description
Almost everyday, the members of the United Nations Commission for the Unification and Rehabilitation of Korea (UNCURK) have the opportunity to extend their knowledge of Korea. Here, with the aid of the Commission's interpreter, some of them interview a Korean farmer who was ploughing his rice paddy. His plough has a spade-like ploughshare of steel that breaks up rather than turn over the furrow. Plough and harness are home-made.
