Ethiopian Forces Arrive in Korea
Caption Description
In November 1950, the UN Secretary-General was advised that ""...The Imperial Ethiopian Government is prepared specifically to offer (as contribution to the Unified Forces in Korea) a contingent of 1069 officers and men..."" Today, the men of the Ethiopian expeditionary force landed in a South Korean port. This picture shows their ship heading into a berth, and the welcoming party waiting on the dockside. The ship also carries replacements troops for Dutch, Greek and Thailand forces already engaged in the Korean action.
