United Nations Commission on Korea
Caption Description
The bungalow at left served during the second week after the invasion as the Commission Temporary Headquarters. This was when the Commission was based at Taejon. Later the delegates moved to Pusan, leaving a forward element at the seat of Government. The house, originally erected for U.S. military mission left in South Korea after the withdrawal of occupying troupes, served not only as meeting hall and Secretariat, but also as residence for the Commission. At right is the Taejon water tower. [No exact date]
