Headline Nepal’s Culture
Caption Description The cultural achievements of the Nepalese people are displayed in the rich art and architecture which abound throughout the country. The culture reflects a mixture of the Buddhist Lamaism of the north and of the Hinduism of the south. Katmandu alone contains some 350 Hindu temples - intricately carved and richly decorated.

A Nepalese singer accompanied by musicians sings contemporary folk songs for a radio programme in the broadcasting station in Katmandu.
