The General Assembly opened its seventh emergency special session on 22 July 1980 to consider the item entitled "Question of Palestine." The general debate continued on the morning of 28 July with statements by Nigeria, Czechoslovakia, Laos People's Democratic Republic, Bhutan, Yemen, Nicaragua, Ghana, Saudi Arabia and Argentina. Also this morning, the representative of Senegal introduced a draft resolution on this question which would call upon Israel to withdraw from Palestinian and other Arab territories occupied since June 1967, including Jerusalem.
Ambassador Mohsin Ahmed Alaini (Yemen) addressing the Assembly on 28 July.
