Caption Description The Government of Yemen today signed the plan of operation for a United Nations Special Fund Project for control of the desert locust scourge. Nineteen countries are participating in the six-year, $3.8 million project which seeks to sharply reduce losses from locust damage in countries from Western Africa through the Arabian peninsula and the Middle East to Pakistan and India.
