United Nations Radio and Visual Services Division Audio Master Control Racks
Caption Description
Audio lines from the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, the Trusteeship Council and all other Conference Rooms terminate in this Master Control. Audio lines to Communications Carriers, to radio and television networks, and to various missions to the United Nations make available rapid dissemination of meeting coverage by cross-patching the sound from the meeting rooms into the outgoing broadcast line.
Lines from United Nations radio and television studios are also terminated here and can be patched to transmitter lines for broadcasts in approximately 30 languages to over 120 countries and territories.
