Caption Description Col. Nauri Pamir, Deputy Commander of the Turkish forces in Korea, was killed in action on 5 June 1952. This picture was taken during the burial ceremony in the Turkish Section of the UN Military Cemetery in Pusan, as the ""Mullah"" (Turkish Chaplain), dressed in traditional ""Jubba"" of the Muslim faith, prayed for the late Colonel. Behind him are the Turkish Field Commander in Korea, Brig. Gen. Namik Argue (also with his hands raised in prayer) and the Turkish Ambassador to Japan.
