Headline Lake Tanganyika Overflows and Menaces Albertville, Congo
Caption Description United Nations Operation in the Congo (ONUC)  personnel under Mr. Gamil Ghaleb, United Nations Representative in Albertville, has organized flood relief with the assistance of young Congolese in moving flood victims from the flooded areas near Lake Tanganyika. The lake is at an all-time high, measuring 11/2 metres higher than its normal level. The water flooded some 800 dwellings which shelter an estimated 1,600 families and has affected 10- to 12,000 persons in Albertville.
Children wade in lake waters that have flooded an avenue lined with coconut trees.
