Headline UNKRA Gives Assistance to Mary Knoll Clinic in Pusan
Caption Description In Pusan, where disastrous fires have added to the distress of the hundreds of thousands of refugees in the City, the Mary Knoll Sisters operate a clinic which last year treated nearly 500,000 cases.  Long before daybreak each morning, patients pack the courtyard and crowd the alleyway leading to the clinic, as they patiently await their turn for examination. The United Nations Korean Reconstruction Agency (UNKRA) has contributed equipment and supplies for the orthopedic treatment of children suffering from tuberculosis of the bone and poliomyelitis.
Sister Kathleen Marie makes inquiries among the patients to discover whether there are any emergency cases requiring priority consideration.
