Irrigation Projects of the UN Korean Reconstruction Agency
Caption Description
Korean workmen watch as water courses through the sluice gate at the newly-constructed Song Pa Pumping Station irrigation project on the Han River. Steel, concrete, pumps and other materials were imported by the United Nations Korean Reconstruction Agency (UNKRA) as part of its $1,500,000 irrigation program in Financial Year 1953. For 1954, UNKRA allocated $4,400,000 for continuation and expansion of the program.
