Breeding Stock Airlifted to Korea
Caption Description
For breeding purposes, 270 pigs and 100 goats have been flown from the United States to Korea by the UN Korean Relief Agency (UNKRA). The project was undertaken jointly by the Agency and the ""Heifer Project Committee"", an international voluntary society which specialises in the provision of livestock for the needy in many parts of the world. The goats are all of the Saanen breed, and consist of 85 females and 15 males; they are imported to test their adaptability to Korean conditions.
This picture shows black Korean goats.
