Original copies of the Emancipation Proclamation, signed by President Abraham Lincoln and Secretary of State William Seward, and of the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution, are on display at United Nations Headquarters during the week of 18-25 March, as part of the exhibition ""Forever Free: Celebrating Emancipation"". The exhibit is presented in connection with the observance of the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade, 25 March.
