A Marine Iguana suns itself at Caamano in the Galapagos Islands off the coast of Ecuador. Called ""La Loberia"" by the locals, these iguanas sun to raise their body temperatures so they can digest food efficiently. The Marine Iguana is the only iguana in the world to feed underwater on marine algae. They are endemic to the Galapagos Islands. [c. 1990's]
