The Conference culminated in a High-level Segment (on 28 and 29 September 2017) hosted by the President of the Swiss Confederation, entitled “Make Mercury History”. The Minamata Convention on Mercury, a global treaty that seeks to protect human health and the environment from the adverse effects of mercury entered into force on 18 August 2017.
