Caption Description The UN headquarters complex in New York, where approximately 2,000 staff members work, was evacuated on 18 July as a precaution, after a fire alarm sounded in one of the fan rooms in the second basement of the General Assembly Building. Staff were allowed back to their offices within about half an hour, once it was determined that there was no fire.
