Western Equatoria State of South Sudan launched the national “back to learning” campaign, targeting 400,000 South Sudanese children in need of schooling. Over 40 primary and secondary schools around the state’s capital Yambio participated in the event. Western Equatoria is currently considered a “green” or peaceful state in the country, which has seen conflict since December 2013.
