A general view of the Security Council as it unanimously adopts resolution 1438 (2002), in which it condemned the bomb attacks in Bali, Indonesia, of 12 October as well as other recent terrorist attacks in various countries and urged all States and international institutions to work with the Indonesian authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice, in accordance with their obligations under resolution 1373 (2001).
Through the unanimous adoption of resolution 1438 (2002), the Council also expressed its deepest sympathy for the Government and people of Indonesia and to the victims of the attacks and their families. In addition, it expressed its reinforced determination to combat all forms of terrorism, in accordance with its responsibilities under the Charter of the United Nations.
