Headline Aftermath of the Flooding in Dungu, DRC
Caption Description Severe flooding caused by torrential rains over the course of eight straight days and consequential bursting of the river banks leaves thousands without a home and adequate food supply in northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Dungu, located just a few hundred kilometres from the Ugandan border, sits at the confluence of the Dungu, the Uele and the Kibali Rivers.
In addition to houses, farming grounds have been severely affected by the sharply-risen water levels.
