Headline Haiti International Partners Electoral Meeting
Caption Description Starting 9 August 2015, some six million Haitians will choose 1,280 representatives for local administrations, 140 mayors, 139 Parliamentarians and finally, their President, in several rounds of electoral processes that could last until the end of the year.
On 16 July, United Nations officials, the Prime Minister of Haiti, government officials and international partners met at UN headquarters in New York. This was a major opportunity to reaffirm Haiti’s and the international community’s common commitment to the democratic consolidation of the country and the world’s solidarity with the Haitian people’s  aspirations and hopes for progress.
Jessica Faieta, Assistant Administrator and Director of the Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean at the UN Development Programme (UNDP), speaks at the meeting.
