Secretary-General U Thant today addressed the Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation, which is holding its nineteenth session from 5 to 16 May at United Nations Headquarters. The meetings of the Committee, composed of scientists from 15 nations, are closed. The Committee, whose current Chairman is G.H.
