Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, UN Women Executive Director, addresses the opening of the sixty-fifth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW65). 
The sixty-fifth session of the Commission on the Status of Women will take place from 15 to 26 March 2021 under the theme "Women's full and effective participation and decision-making in public life and the empowerment of women and girls".
Proclaimed in 2011 by UNESCO and endorsed by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012, World Radio Day marks the day United Nations Radio was established in 1946.

Radio is a powerful medium for celebrating humanity in all its diversity and constitutes a platform for democratic discourse. At the global level, radio remains the most widely consumed medium.
