The original U. N. Charter - which will be placed on display in San Francisco later this month during the commemorative meetings marking the twenty-fifth anniversary of the signing of the Charter in that city on 26 June 1945 - was transferred into the temporary custody of the U.N. this afternoon. Secretary-General U Thant and Ambassador Charles W. Yost, watch the opening of the safe, during the transfer ceremony.
