Caption Description
This house at Ostra Storgatan 91A , Jonkoping, Sweden, where Dag Hammarskjold, second Secretary-General of the United Nations, was born 29 July 1905. Called ""Villa Liljeholmen"" (little island), the imposing mansion was built at the end of the 19th Century. Hammarskjold was born in the room on the second floor with the black-fenced balcony. Then his parents' bedroom, it is used as a study by the present owners.
