Headline Security Council Favours Cameroons Admission to UN 
Caption Description The Security Council met today for the first time this year and unanimously recommended that the newly independent state of Cameroon be admitted to the UN. This country's application was sponsored jointly by France and Tunisia. At today's session, the representatives of three new non-permanent members of the Council took their seats for the first time. They were Ceylon, Ecuador and Poland.
