New York City Police Officers look on as protests are under way against racism and police violence after the death of George Floyd. 
Protests first erupted on 25 May, after video footage went viral on social media of a white police officer in the city of Minneapolis, United States, kneeling on the neck of African American George Floyd, for more than eight minutes, causing his death while in police custody. His death set off a nationwide outcry over racial inequality and police brutality, that have inspired protests in solidarity and against racism all over the world.

During one such raid, Commandos of the 41st Royal British Marines swarm ashore from amtracks 8 miles south of Songjin, North Korea, where they destroyed a stretch of railroad track breaking an important enemy supply line.

Headline Social Progress in Togo 
Caption Description The Government has instituted a programme of social development in Togo, which includes establishing multi-purpose social service centres to raise the standards of living and to increase the well-being of individuals, families and the community. A United Nations project to assist the Government was begun in 1961 and, since then, three social welfare centres have been founded in Togo. UN experts also have been aiding the formulation of a national social welfare programme and training its personnel.
