Caption Description A two million dollar contract was awarded to the firm of Fuller, Turner, Walsh and Slattery this afternoon for the construction on the site of the UN Permanent Headquarters of a three level connecting ground link between the Secretariat building, the General Assembly and Meeting Hall area. The contract includes the construction of the second half of an underground garage for 1500 cars, and represents a preliminary step to the actual building of the General Assembly structure and Meeting Hall Area. UN Secretary-General  Trygve Lie is signing for UN as Mr. Byron Price and Abe Feller look on. Mr. Lou R. Crandall signed on behalf of the contractors.
