Caption Description
On 11 December 1968, a postal agreement was signed in Geneva, Switzerland, between the United Nations and the Swiss Postal, Telephone and Telegraph Enterprise for the operation of a post office at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, using only United Nations stamps valid for all mail postmarked from the Palais. To implement this agreement, the United Nations Postal Administration issued, on 4 October 1969, eight stamps in the definitive series in Swiss denominations and three items of postal stationery, as required by the agreement.
