Helping the Koreans to Help Themselves
Caption Description
With the financial and technical support of the United Nations Korean Reconstruction Agency (UNKRA), voluntary agencies from all over the world are helping to improve the economy and the social welfare of Korean village communities, long cut off from any but the most primitive facilities. The needs of the Korean villagers are varied, and the tasks of the specialists sent to Kunyangjang-ni by Houses for Korea Inc., a United States voluntary agency, are many.
Here, Sherwood Martin, of Seattle, a member of the agency's three-man team, conducts an open-air class in English. [1954]
