Headline
New Radio-Telephone Link Installed at UNEF Headquarters
Caption Description
To ease the heavy traffic load on the two telephone trunk lines between Rafah and the United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF) Headquarters Exchange, a new radio-telephone link has been established in this area. The new installation was planned and built by the 56 Canadian Signal Squadron in co-ordination with UN Communications.
Partial view of the United Nations Emergency Force Headquarters frontage, several linesmen of the Canadian line crew are seen at work on the 100-foot high masts. Pte R. Wesin (Sweden) stands guard at the gate.
