The General Assembly received a draft resolution asking the Assembly to call again for the early convening of the Geneva Peace Conference on the Middle East under the auspices of the UN and "with the participation on an equal footing of all parties concerned, including the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)".

Gilad Erdan, Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations, shreds a page of the Charter of the United Nations as he addresses the resumed 10th Emergency Special Session of the General Assembly on “Illegal Israeli actions in occupied East Jerusalem and the rest of the Occupied Palestinian Territory”.

The General Assembly later adopted a resolution that "Determines that the State of Palestine is qualified for membership in the United Nations in accordance with Article 4 of the Charter of the United Nations and should therefore be admitted to membership in the United Nations". The Resolution was adopted by a recorded vote with 143 votes in favour, 9 against and 25 abstentions.

Headline UNRWA Gaza Emergency Operations 
Caption Description After conclusion of the recent hostilities in the Gaza Strip, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) set up the UNRWA Gaza Emergency Operation to restore food distribution and medical services to the 219,000 UNRWA refugees. UNRWA had initiated and administered an education system for 40,000 children of Palestine refugees in the Strip. The UNRWA Gaza Emergency Team found most of the buildings intact, although the contents of many had been looted.
The Deir El Balah Camp boys elementary school which was shattered by a bomb explosion.
