Headline Asian Experts Meet to Consider Low Cost Roads and Soil Stabilization

Caption Description Under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Asia and the Far East, road and rail engineers and other technical experts from some twenty Asian and other countries met this mohth in New Delhi to exchange information and experiences on building low-cost roads which are vital to the development of the region. During the seminar, the experts had the opportunity of studying the techniques used by India in constructing low-cost roads. At the end of the seminar, the experts were taken on a tour of technical inspection to special projects in Amritsar and to Bakhra and Nangal.
